Holiday Letter

My dear teens, parents, and other readers,

So I have apparently been slacking on updating the blog a bit. Guess the holidays have taken my brain hostage. Oh well! Just to let you guys know, the library has a Facebook account and you can always check for updates there for not only Teens, but other library news. You can also find out if a branch library has something fun going on near you!

Just to let you guys know, I will be in Graduate School starting this January and won't be here as much in the mornings as to dedicate time to my studies. I will of course be here in the afternoons for when you get out of school. I many fun things already planned up through the summer, but if you have an ideas or suggestions that you would like to see happen, please let me know! I love your participation and input!

I hope everyone has a wonderful Winter break and happy holidays! If I don't see you before tomorrow, hope you have a great Christmas and I will see you in the new year!

Hugs, Mrs. Pamela

Flaunt your Stuff

Flaunt 2012 Downtown Art Walk & Exhibition

Come take part in the activities with Thomasville Center for the Arts and Downtown Thomasville. Seen the yarn bombing on Broad Street yet? Go take a look! Even the library has a tree! (Give you a hint: Dr. Seuss!)

"Local artists are pulling out all the stops to bring Thomasville to the “recycle table”. Downtown merchant locations will brim with a wide variety of fascinating and creative art containing recycled or upcycled components, created by the southeast’s most talented painters, jewelers, fiber artists and sculptors.

A full weekend of activities abounds on the bricks of downtown Thomasville and at the Center. See the schedule below, and mark your calendar so you don’t miss a minute.

While taking in cool art, and meeting interesting artists, you’ll learn a little more about who’s doing their part for recycling. We think you’ll surprised to find out how several local businesses are working to be “green”, and how 28 FLAUNT artist’s cleverly blended corporate recycling trash into their upcycled couture."
