Coming Tuesday: Movie "Night"! Okay, so it is really in the afternoon, but anyways...

Hello TCPLS Teens out there reading this on the blogosphere! We had a great, quick book club meeting yesterday afternoon with lots of laughter and input! Sorry for any that missed it due to it was shorter than normal, but thanks for understanding that I had to head to my son's open house at his school.

This Tuesday, August 21st is Movie "Night". I will find something -given the request to have something Marvel Comic-ish- and we will watch it. I will provide the popcorn and lemonade. Come, relax, and hang out with your friends.

Next month's book club topic: Classics with a Twist!
Let's read something that takes a classic story line and puts a modern adaptation to the old tale. It could be something like a fairy tale put into a modern day setting or an ancient fable put into a graphic novel format. Have fun and if you need help finding something, let me know! I also recommend checking out www.goodreads.com to help in your search for great books.

Here are some examples of books  for next month:

Back to Book Club!

We had a fun time on last Tuesday creating new folders for your school papers! Another great way to recycle & re-purpose materials into a new creation!

This Thursday, August 16th at 4pm is the return of the Teen Book Club at 4pm. We will gather together to discuss our favorite reads from the summer & also decide on a theme for next month's meeting.  Since this will be the first meeting it shouldn't take too long. (45 mins to an hour).

Next Week: Movie Night! & Knit Wits! I hope to see you then!
